- - What is difference between EN81 and EN81-70, most of customers asked us. More handicapped concerned items are added into EN81-70. for the end users, they can identify easily with the lay out of Hall station and floor indicator. EN81-70 defines that the car call button has to be installed from 800mm to 1200mm, and the floor indicator has to be installed from 1800mm to 2100mm, the size of indicator is also bigger, which defines the height of indicator is at least 40mm. In order to help handicapped people can take elevator easily, the car call push button has to be sound after the call is registered. So EN81-70 is something more handicapped friendly code.
